Our community investment funding is made possible by the profit generated from banking services provided at our branches.

Program Details

The Community Strengthening Program is open to not-for-profit community groups and organizations who are working to benefit the community served by Valley Community Financial Services Ltd.

Organisations, clubs, or community groups that apply, must be incorporated, either as associations or companies; should have an ABN; and must be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of fiscal responsibility.

Our program will not approve funding of applications in any of the areas listed below:

  • Is outside of our catchment area;
  • Is political or religious in nature;
  • Is for the sole benefit of an individual;
  • Is commercial in nature;
  • Involves prize money for professional sport or payment of wages;
  • Promotes/involves discrimination, racial hatred, or any illegal activity;
  • Is already sponsored by another bank or financial institution.

Community Investment Funding

Grants

Our grants are paid to an organisation to enable programs and projects that benefit, strengthen and enhance our communities. These requests are identified and driven by our community groups and clubs.

Sponsorships

We sponsor events, programs, projects or organisations through the provision of money, goods or services in return for marketing opportunities and brand recognition.

Timelines:

Our Community Strengthening Program is open all year round, online applications should be directed to the branch where your account is held.

Grants for Fairs, Festivals and all Community Projects occurs on a twice yearly basis and the cut-off date is 30 March and 30 September.

If an application for a Fair, Festival or Community Project is received outside of the cut-off dates in March and September its merit will be reviewed by the Valley Community Financial Board first. Please contact the Community Engagement Officer to discuss.
